Selichot Services & Theatre Peformance - Satuday, September 4th
Join us on Saturday, September 4th at Beth El beginning at 9pm for Selichot Services and a wonderful program featuring Theatre Ariel performing The Tale of Jonah and Redemption.
The moral struggle of Jonah read on Yom Kippur challenges our own questions of faith during times of despair. The program recreates the story of Jonah in a stop action format that enables the audience to explore the themes embedded
in the text to find within it personal meaning.
Sponsored by The Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia's Kehillah of Bucks County. Participating Synagogues: Brothers of Israel, Congregation Beth El, Tifereth Israel.
- College Students
If your child will be away at college, please contact Claire Puglise (Claire@bethelyardley.org) in the synagogue office with their college address. We have a committee that will send packages throughout the year to each student.
- Yahrzeit Notices
Yahrzeit is observed on the anniversary of the death of a loved one. Each year we mark this day with the lighting of a Yahrzeit candle and the recitation of the Mourner's Kaddish in a minyan. If you wish us to notify you of the English date on which the Yahrzeit occurs, please contact the synagogue office (215) 493-1707 ext. 4 or Claire@bethelyardley.org) with the following information: Person to be notified, Full English name of Deceased, Full Hebrew Name of Deceased, Relationship, Date and Year of Death and whether before or after sunset. Order forms are also in the display case in the synagogue lobby.

Then every time you shop on IGIVE.com, a portion of your shopping will be designated to Congregation Beth El. Every few months we receive a small check which helps the congregation. Please check out the website, you will find that it costs no more than just plain shopping online and almost every store, airline, etc. is listed.
